People serving people, for more than 50 years.

Thank you for celebrating Gary Hegenes with us at the 2026 Minnesota ICONS.

Gary built Hegenes Properties on a simple idea: put people first, and take care of real estate like you own it, because you do. Five decades later, that idea still guides everything we do, from residents and team members to the communities we serve across Minnesota and North Dakota.

Today, Hegenes owns and operates apartment communities alongside a growing group of partners who share those values. We look for well-located properties, improve them carefully, and manage them with the same hands-on care Gary started with.

Stay connected.

If you'd like to follow our story and hear about what we're working on, join our list. We'll keep you posted on our communities, our team, and what's ahead for Hegenes.
